Hi, my name is Jen.
Nestled in the Sunshine Coast, I spend my days immersed in the art of handcrafting shoes, bags, and earrings. From my cozy home workshop, I pour my heart into creating unique pieces that resonate with simplicity, practicality, and most importantly, personal style.
My passion lies in crafting shoes that are more than just footwear—they're statements of individuality. There's something magical about slipping into a pair of shoes that feel like they were made just for you. It's this magic that drives me to not only create but also to empower others to craft their own shoes.
We run workshops right here in my workshop space, inviting you to explore your creativity step by step. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, these workshops are designed to be a space of learning, inspiration, and self-expression.
So, whether it's a pair of tiny shoes for the littlest feet or a stylish bag for life's adventures, each creation is infused with care and attention to detail. Join me in my workshop where every stitch tells a story, and every design is a celebration of uniqueness.
Talkin Feet shoes was established in 1987 – not long after after my baby girl Kyla surprised us all by walking at just over 7 months. Despite all my efforts, I couldn’t find any shoes that were suitably soft and comfortable for her tiny, determined feet.
Let's embark on this journey together, where handmade meets heartmade, and where each creation is a canvas for self-expression.

The materials used in Talkin Feet workshops and kits are selected with consideration of their sustainable properties and the ethical practices. Wherever possible, these materials are recycled, recyclable, salvaged or natural fibre.
WE LOVE LOCAL
We source materials right here on the Sunshine Coast at every opportunity.
For everything else, we support only Australian-owned businesses.
SOURCING WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Choosing the most thoughtful, eco friendly materials from which to craft our products is an enormous consideration in keeping us in-line with that mission. Our mission is to keep our environmental impact as low as possible.
OUR CAREFULLY SELECTED LEATHERS
We source leather from reliable, sustainable tanneries where all environmental rules and regulations are met. Our chrome leather our chosen from suppliers who are endeavouring to replace the toxic chemicals they use in the tanning process, for more environmentally friendly water based alternatives. We also have vegetable tanned leather, that has been produced in an environmentally friendly way.
PLANT-BASED LEATHER ALTERNATIVE
ECO-FRIENDLY, SUSTAINABLE AND CRUELTY-FREE
Many leather alternatives are either a mix of plant-based and synthetic materials, or entirely plastic. In an effort to do better, we went in search of an ethically made, plastic-free, and biodegradable-yet-durable material. That’s when we found Mirum® — a totally plant-based and plastic-free material. We’re excited to share that our first plant-based shoes, using Mirum®
Cork is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable. It has already been proven that cork is a natural material and is a tree bark. It may be surprising. But what you may not know is that this amazing raw material is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable.
